What is Bethany Village?
Bethany Village (part of Africa Renewal Ministries) has the whole package. The needs of the children are all met on one campus – a village in the truest sense of the word. They’ve built a school, medical clinic, farm, church and all the housing and facilities they need.
Every home has a house mother who is responsible to raise the children. There are 12-15 children per house, ranging in age from 2 to 18 years old. Each home has three bedrooms for the children and one for the house mother, along with a living area and a dining area. In Uganda, cooking typically takes place in a separate building, and Bethany is no exception.
Children in the village are provided clothing, housing, food and an education. Over the course of their development they are taught important, marketable skills such as sewing, cooking, gardening and farming, and they contribute to life in their home and village. Each house family is also matched with a couple who provides mentorship, support and guidance to the children. When they are older, they will have received training and skills to contribute to their own families and country.
Through your monthly support, these children are given opportunities that most kids in Uganda will never have. From without hope, to without limits, the children of Bethany Village have a future.
