Helping those who cannot help themselves

2017 Update

Tax season is pretty much upon us and we wanted to give you an update on the finances for 2017.  We started collecting donations in June of 2017, which of course means money was only coming in for half of the year, where as in 2018 we will be receiving donations all year long.  For the 2017 tax year $12,306.64 was raised for the Bethany village project!  The reason it is an odd number is that we had one donation donated in US funds that needed to be converted to Canadian funds.

I am super excited by those numbers!  We are so close to completely funding two orphanage homes in Uganda.  I will be visiting Bethany Village orphanage in May and will be able to see firsthand these homes as well as some of the children who we are sponsoring.  My plans is to bring back pictures, videos and stories from the homes as well the housemothers and children.  It will be an exciting time.

For those of you who donated in 2017, we have been preparing your tax receipts and should be ready to send them in the mail this week.  I would expect that they would start arriving at your homes early next week.  If you do not receive your tax receipt in a week or two, please contact us right away.  In addition, it is always a good idea to check your receipt and make sure it lines up with what you gave just to ensure everything is in order.

Thanks everyone for your generous donations, we are truly making a difference in the lives of so many children and helping people that have no way to help themselves!
